Well as you have probably noticed, posts have been getting shorter and fewer. Here's why.....I first want to thank everyone who has supported me in my photography business. Those who have encouraged me, and those who have trusted me to capture some very important times in your lives. Unfortunately, due to personal issues going on at this time, I have decided to take a break from photography. If/when I decide to start accepting more shoots I will be sure to let everyone know. This is not something I thought would happen, but right now I need to focus on what’s most important in my life – God and my family. Again, thank you for your support and I hope God blesses you in more ways than you can imagine in 2010!!!(Note: If you have already scheduled a shoot with me for 2010, don’t worry, I still plan on doing those shoots. I hope to go out with a bang!!!)
I have been trying to decide for awhile if I wanted to begin offering storybooks to clients. I have been playing around with some pages from my wedding and I wanted to get some feedback. If you were a bride is this something you would want offered? How are the layouts I have created so far? These pages would be bound in a leather book which thick pages similar to a board book. The picture would flow across the fold in the book in an almost seamless fashioin. Leave me a comment and tell me what you think.
My cousin Kasey is growing up quickly. Until she came along I was the only girl cousin on my mom's side of the family. She has always been like the little sister I never had. I can't believe she is almost a teenager! She came to visit the other week and we decided to play around a little and take some pictures.
Here is another of Hilary. She is already such a beautiful young lady but I took out some of the shine from her face and smothed her skin out just slightly. I also increased the appearance of blush and eyeshadow on her makeup. I then took out stray hairs from the top of her head and cleaned up the background to make it sharp. What do you think?
I have been spending a lot of time this summer learning new techniques with Photoshop. I decided to post a few before and after pictures to see what everyone thinks. Please leave a comment below and tell me what you think about these pics. NOTICE: YOU NEED TO CLICK ON THE PHOTOS TO ENLARGE THEM. IT IS HARD TO SEE DIFFERENCES UNLESS YOU DO THIS.
This is a before and after of Luke and Shelby
This is a before and after of Hilary. Notice how much brighter the sky is!
I can also do retouches of old pictures. Here is a before and after example of a picture taken of my great-grandmother's family. I think she is the one in the front row with a little bow in her hair.
Ashley and Hugh were married on the beach the first weekend of May. The weather was perfect except for a little wind. They were a lot of fun to be around and their families were so welcoming throughout the entire weekend.
What a beautiful dress!
Ashley's sister made her a wrap for her flowers that had pictures of her mom and her grandmother on it. It was a beautiful way to remember them on her wedding day.
A quick rehearsal before heading out onto the beach.
What beautiful rings!
Hugh's first sight of Ashley
I love how this one highlights the shoes left on the deck.
The rings.

Someone on the beach made this for the newlyweds right before the wedding.

Piedmont Girls
The calm before the storm
One of my favorites made by my lovely assistant.
I guess no one wanted to be doomed to be married next.
Off to the honeymoon!
But one quick stop before leaving. The BEACH!
These look like nice calm shots but wait until you see what happens!
I am a media coordinator for the school and am currently taking a break from my part time job of photographer. I love and enjoy both of my jobs. In my personal life, I am a wife to a Union County farmer and love our new house out on the farm. We are in the final stages of our first domestic adoption. We can't wait until God introduces us to our little miracle. Contact Information:

No More Studio Sessions For Awhile
I wanted to let everyone know that I will not be able to do any studio sessions for awhile. My old studio location is no longer available for me to use and my new studio is not yet finished. We are currently in the process of finishing my BRAND NEW studio but it may take several more months. Thank you for being patient and please don't let this minor setback keep you from contacting JB Williams Photography. We are still available to shoot on location or in your home!
