Why I've been MIA....

Well as you have probably noticed, posts have been getting shorter and fewer. Here's why.....I first want to thank everyone who has supported me in my photography business. Those who have encouraged me, and those who have trusted me to capture some very important times in your lives. Unfortunately, due to personal issues going on at this time, I have decided to take a break from photography. If/when I decide to start accepting more shoots I will be sure to let everyone know. This is not something I thought would happen, but right now I need to focus on what’s most important in my life – God and my family. Again, thank you for your support and I hope God blesses you in more ways than you can imagine in 2010!!!(Note: If you have already scheduled a shoot with me for 2010, don’t worry, I still plan on doing those shoots. I hope to go out with a bang!!!)

Ms. Bessie's 80th Birthday Party

My wonderful mother-in-law put me in touch with a family friend who's mother was having her 80th birthday party last Sunday. The family asked me to come and take candid pictures of the party events. It was so much fun because I saw a lot of people I already knew and also met a lot of new people. Here are a few of the snapshots from the afternoon. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MS. BESSIE!!!

This punch was soooo good!!

Jen and Chris

Jennifer has been one of my best friends for the past 10-12 years. (I'm not really sure how long it seems like she's always been there.) When I started dating Chad we introduced her to one of his friends Chris. It was love at first sight! They were married in December of 2006 and I was honored to be in their wedding. They called me the other day and wanted to get together and take some pictures. Chris' mom knew someone who had a field of sunflowers so we took some pictures there with their dog and then headed over to Chad's parents house to do some more. Here are just a few of the pictures we took.

The last one is my favorite!
